The Pumphouse is a venue for community theatre, set up in the 1970s.The collection covers activities from prior to the venue opening to the present day.
It includes posters, photographs, newsletters, newspaper clippings, some correspondence from patrons. The main theatre groups involved back then were North Shore Music Theatre, Mairangi Players and North Shore Teachers College. From 1977 - 2007 the venue also hosted an art gallery. The collection also contains photos and posters about exhibitions from that time.
Most of the major archives are held by Auckland Library Services. We have a small collection on site which we display if we have theatre tours.
